Bluefish jigging with the Horst Klein Charter

Had Horst with wife Diane, Steve and Cyndi and buddies
DaveX2. Plan was to have rod bending action,
So opted for offshore reef and landed 20 bruiser
Blues to 15lbs to start the trip. Came back inshore
To try for some stripers, Found the bunker pods but no takers.
Finished up the day jigging a bunch of spike weakfish on the
Way home. It was a fun day in beautiful conditions!

Striper Fishing with the Adam Conley Charter

Had Adam back again with buddies Mat, Pat, and
Zach. Knew forecast for rest of week would be bad
So left early today, very few boats on the water, what
A difference. Worked the first pod and just bluefish.
Kept working pods to the south and more bluefish.
Found some working birds and caught a bunch of stripers
On light spinners, all shorts. Saw birds futher off and started
The troll with spoons no luv, put in the shads and
Had doubles for the next hour, the keepers
Were spitting up baby weakfish same size of the shads,
Talk about matching the hatch! Ended the the day
With more stripers under the birds,
Ended the day with over 20 landed.

Stripers with the Steve Romain Charter

Had regular Steve with son Ryan and Buddies
Steve,Kelvin, and Randall. Lets start by saying
That the conditions were horrible, high winds,
Dirty water, and wind against tide conditions. Tried
To get the guys to cancel but the guys couldnt't
Reschedule and wanted to really try. So we did, tried
Bunker chunking multiple spots, tried clamming
Nothing but shorts, at the end of the day we finally
Pulled it out and the guys caught our biggest fish of
The year with fish to 25 lbs, one fish had 4 bunkers
In her and another one had a legal weakfish. Good to
See Randall catch his first striper ever!

Dave Peters Mixed Bag Charter

Good to finally get out with this crazy weather Had Dave today with son Mat. Plan was to try a bunch of different species. Once we netted the live bait we headed out of the inlet and jigged a dozen Blues to 12lbs. Made a run out to the Mud Hole and began live bait chumming to look for Bluefin, had one good bite but fish spit the hook, then had some nice sized mahi eat our peanuts but couldn't connect. Mat was getting bored so we made a run back in and set on some rockpiles for seabass, landed over 40 with only half a dozen keepers. Changed gears and went togging with Mat having the hot hand, landed a couple of dozen with our boat limit of keepers. Ended the day jigging again and landed some keeper weakfish to end the day. Beautiful day with a great father/son team to fish with.
