Bluefin Limits continue with the Randy Drozd Crew

Randy came out with the boys and wanted a multi species  Meat trip, started off the the trip getting our unders limit  Then got our bigger fish on the jigs with fish up to 55 inches. Once boxes were full ran to the canyon for a dozen tiles. Decided to troll the Hudson with good water temps landed 3  Yellowfin our first of the season, but not very big in size. On the  Way home gave the guys an afternoon popping session catching  And releasing another half dozen. Great day!

Bluefin Blast with Tony and Mark

Had Northeast Contender Rep Tony with his buddies and Mark and Rich along today. Got to the bluefin grounds and found blue planet conditions. For the next hour we landed 8 fish up to 55 inches. Guys had enough and with the flat conditions we went tilefishing, getting a couple dozen up to 20lbs, great time with the guys!

Midshore Mixed Bag with the Jason Greico crew

Had Jason with buddies Chris, Gene and Adrian. Got on the life quickly and had our bluefin unders in short order and released a few more. Decided to do a shark drift and after half an hour had a decent fish that got wrapped in the leader, ugh! Decided to drop on a wreck since Jason wanted some ling. Got 3  dozen baseball bat ling in short order. Went back on the troll got a few more and decided to call it an early day. Great trip with the guys!

Bluefin And Tilefish with Glen Meador Crew

Had Glen out for the first time with us with sons Paul and Mike and buddy Tommy, got our unders early releasing most to find bigger ones. Took a quick sprint to do some tilefishing since the guys never caught them and heard how good they taste. Got a dozen up to 25 lbs. Ran back inshore and ran into the bigger unders up to 45 inches. Congrats to Paul and Mike for popping their tuna cherries!

Bluefin with Dan Laible and the Clemson Guys

Took the day off today and had Captains Matty and Mark running the big girl today. They hosted the Dan Laible Charter. Dan brought along his buddies Mark and Kevin from Clemson and all of their dads. They started out getting unders bluefin limit and releasing some. All 3 boys popping their tuna cherries. Then they changed gears and landed Duskys up to 100lb

Tilefish beatdown and Tunas with Roger Freed

Had Gary with son Christian and buddies Tom, Seth and Gerry. Started off the trip getting our under bluefin limit then releasing a few more. Picked up and made a sprint to the canyon looking for bigger fish along the way. Found a few pods of life but no luck, made it to the canyons and beat up on some tiles, had over a dozen decent ones. Went looking around for the overs on the way home and couldn't find any. Fun trip with some good guys.

Offshore Redemption with the Peterson Family

Had Chris and daughter Ashlyn back today. Reverse  Last year and could not fulfill her first tuna! Past winter the family came to see me in Miami and got Ashlyn her first billfish. Today was game time, bad conditions from the start fog and sea conditions, every stop was Albies crushing everything in sight, fun but damn! Kept searching and finally found them, early limit then took a break to shark drift, water too cold, went back on the troll and kept catching  them. Congrats to Ashlyn for her first tuna!

Bluefin with the Tutela Family

Had Rocco out with the family, plan was originally stripers but with the sketchy striper bite in the ocean decided to spend the afternoon chasing tuna. Kept the kids busy with Albies, until the right one came up. Rocco did a nice job on the bft and now they will be enjoying sushi tonight!

Tuna/Tiles with the Frank Alparone crew

Had Frank out with wife Jess, buddies Mike, Billy,Jake and Nick With guest/mate addition of Brian Pieros. Made our way to the canyon and got on the troll at gray light got our bites but was only able to land one, but a decent one our first bigeye of the year! Went on the tile hunt which was a slow pick but got our biggest Blueline on the boat all-time close to 20lbs. Made a sprint inshore and crushed the bluefin landing 7 in first half an hour of trolling. Chatter sidetrackers doing all the damage. Those bars have been deadly- great time with a stellar crew!

Tuna for Andrea’s Birthday

Had my girl, with family and friends. On the way to the grounds, surface plugged a 68 inch tuna. Continued to the spot, and all of the girls landed their first tuna! Happy birthday to the second love of my life!

Stripers with Brian Trillo and Crew

Had Brian Trillo and crew out today on the 31FA while the 44FA is offshore. Kept the trolling rods away and live lined some nice fish this morning. Thanks guys! 

Over and Under limit with John Flanigan and the boys

John called me and wanted to do a special birthday gift for buddy Rick and brought along buddies Chris, Dave, and Rich. Made our way to the deep and after 15 minutes got the right bite. Fought the brute for over 2 hours on 50lb standup, guys did a great job and landed their 71 inch bluefin. Weather started getting snotty so ran inshore to get more action and started crushing the school Bluefin on the Chatter bars in every color. Got our under limit on the first pass, released some more then sprinted home! Congrats to the guys for a great job on the rods and busting some tuna cherries!

Had first time customers, father and son of Dan and John capitalize on the last minute cancellation for today. Made bait and had our limit on the first drift. Had some hot bites and first bluefish of the season up to 10lbs. Searched around and wound up finding them on top, had a sick topwater bite to end the day landing another half dozen

Had Al out with buddies Johnx2, Eddy and Steve. Made the run to the bluefin grounds and got our under bluefin limit. Hit some wrecks to jig and had seabass and a nice 40lb pollack. Made the sprint to the canyon and topped out the boxes with 3 dozen golden and blueline tiles

Had long time friend, Adam on board with dad John and son Harrison. Made our bait and got to the spot complete mayhem! Stopped counting after a dozen. Harrison all 7 years old of him reeled in a majority of the fish. Unbelievable morning!

New Addition to Striper 50lb Club

Doing maintenance work today on the big boat with one of my captain Mark Jankowski and his son Cole. Once done decided to take a quick sprint to the Rocks to see if we could get Cole a big one, got the bait and found what we wanted. Congrats Cole proud of you!
