Tom Kelly Offshore

Had Tom Kelly back again this year with wife Susan, son Dan and buddy Jeremy, got into a nice 3 banger of yellowfin to start the day. Bite was pretty slow after that so we went mahi fishing. Crazy action with  a few gaffers, 3 oz chief white tail was the winner today, landing close to 30 mahi. Ended the day with a dozen nice tiles to top out the box

Larry Bovich Tuna

Capts Vinnie and Tyler hosted Larry Bovich and crew today. The crew got to the grounds at first light and went to work armed with UVT jigs in 120 grams. First drift it was chaos, when the dust settled they ended up going 6-10 with mix of yellows and over bluefin. Rest of morning uneventful, so they called it early and made it home right around lunchtime!💪🏽

Pete stilianessis mahi

Had Pete stilianessis on the Toy for the first time today with son Nick, his buddy Dave and uncle Howie.  Plan was to get the kids on some mahi before going away to college. Craig Worts Tuna

Had the for first time on the Toy  Craig Worts and crew for John's Bachelor party. Today was the ultimate UVT day.  Started the day with Glow UVT jigs on the yellows. Then John hooked a 60 inch over on the Chief 7oz pink tail. Went looking for some surface action then John got going on the white UVT poppers! Ended the day with half a dozen mahi, for an early day and back by lunchtime!

Len Paolillo Cobia / Mahi

Had Len Paolillo Jr on board today with all of his buddies from the Ridge Football team for the Senior Graduation gift from his dad Len, longtime customer. 

Plan was to keep rods bent and have fun! Think both boxes were checked, tuna did not cooperate but mahi and cobia made for nice bags of fillets.

Lou Waldron Offshore

Had Lou Waldron and his boys Bill and Paul out today. Started out for tuna and that did not work out for us so shifted gears and loaded the boat up with 20 tiles, then did some light tackle mahi and got 20 of them as well. Ended the day looking for some bluefin but that did not pan out either

Roger Sanford Tuna Tiles

Had Roger Sanford, longtime striper customer and the boys  come out today for a canyon trip. Started out rough losing the first six,with some tackle failure, but the guys got the hang of it and landed the next four fish to 60lb. Ended the day getting some nice blue and golden tile.

Joe Kornsey Tuna Tiles

Had Newcomer to the boat Joe Kornsey with Frank Jr and Sr.   Got to the grounds and got on a nice tuna bite, had a steady bite until we got our fill going 9-10 on nice sized yellows. Chatter bars/chains was the ticket!Changed gears and topped out the box with a dozen nice tiles to 20lbs and on way home before lunch.

John Goullett Tuna

Capt Vince and mate Shane hosted newcomer to the Toy John Goullett and buddy Joe. The decision was made Canyon yellowfin or bust. Had a decent window to get him out today before he headed back to Florida. The boys arrived on the scene, found the life and got locked in. Once the dust settled and multiple bites, they ended up 8-9 and heading for home before lunchtime, great job boys!

Dave Tiedeman Tuna

Had Dave Tiedeman onboard today for our first tuna trip of the season and it couldnt have worked out any better. Started out on some nice feeds, but couldnt connect casting. Ran further south and put in the tracker bars and got into a nice pick getting our 2 unders and barely over. Decided since we had our bluefin limit decided to change gears and deep drop. Had horrible drift conditions but still got some nice 20lb fish, Rosies, and first longtail bass.

Douglas / Shepie Stripers

Back out for stripers today with shared charter of Shepie family and Doug’s crew. Bounced around at first picking a few fish here and there until we landed on a great patch of fish. Had multiple on at a time for a few drifts and kept catching despite the tide flopping out. Boxed a limit of fish for the table and headed home. Thanks guys!

Ilya Tilefish

Had regulars Ilya and Jim round up some buddies, with newcomer Lance. This trip was for one the books. Went strictly with the UVT jigs and smashed them! Had our limit in the first hour, with many fish over 20lbs and biggest almost 30. Back to dock early.

Drew Carlson Stripers

In the afternoon with Drew Carlson we got set up and went 2/4 on big fish on the first drift and even caught the biggest fish of our Raritan Bay season so far. Thought it was going to be a great bite but only caught one more on the succeeding drifts. Had some bites but couldn’t connect with a lot of them. Ran all over looking and found a lone keeper late in the trip.

Jim P Stripers

On Sunday Capt Greg had Jim P out in the morning. Netting bait was easy and we got on some big fish right away. Always entertaining seeing them blowing baits up and hooking them! With the amount of boats mid morning it killed the bite so we went looking for keepers and found one for the table.

39’ Boat Move to Point Pleasant

Moved the big girl back to Point today. Had the Rivera family on board. Played the Trophy game.

Mike landed his personal best 43 incher. Decided to hit the mudhole for ling, got some for dinner. Couldn't believe water conditions out there, thought I was in the Bahamas.

Andy Talone Stripers

Excellent day of fishing for Andy Talone and crew - did a few long drifts catching some jumbo stripers up to 43”. Exciting to see them blowing the baits out of the water! Switched it up and went looking for keeper size fish and got on a great bite and boxed a limit of keepers. We released many more for another time- great day!

Mark Kuminski Stripers

Had Mark Kuminski for stripers and got off to a slow start. Stuck it out and put together a nice catch putting in a little bit of OT. Fish even came up ontop in the shallow water and blew up on the 9” spooks in addition to the live bunker.
