Don Beshada Sea Bass Season Close

Had Don Beshada out today for the last day of jumbo sea bass. Flats seas and nice air temps, with a nice pick of Jumbo sea bass to 6lbs made for a great end to the sea bass season!

Chris Decresce Stripers

Had Chris Decresce out today for his end of year trip. Couldn't have been any better had over 20 stripers with up to half dozen following every hooked fish. Ended the day early to warm up and get lunch!

Regulars Offshore SeaBass

Had all the regulars out for a quick trip with the weather window. Started off looking for tuna, saw some small pods but moving fast and hard to stay with in weather conditions. Noticed a wreck fairly close and decided to get the guys some action, boy were we not disappointed in a short time we had close to 50 Jumbo sea bass and a boat first- 20lb monkfish! 

Dave and Ray Rivera Stripers and Tog

Had The Rivera boys Dave and Ray out today for a combo trip, boat move for the 31FA back to point. Started getting our limit on spoons in no time then went into release mode. Turned the hook and hit the reef for tog. First drop landed  a nice 23 incher, 10lb tog on Magictail tog jigs. First time using them was very impressed and look forward to using them for the rest of the season and beyond. Wound up with my limit on togs and sprinted for home.

Don Beshada Fall Bluefin

Had Regular Don Beshada to try for fall Bluefin. Found a nice feed and Don made easy work of her. Had a couple ore bites we lost and called it an early day.

Jim Pruniger Striper Slam

Capt Greg had Jim Pruniger and friends out fishing. Got our limit as the sun came up and found some bird life with fish swirling ontop. All fish caught jigging and  popping and even got a few on the new Nomad Vibe. Unreal these stripers are still in the bay a week into December. As usual tagged all of our releases fish for Gray Fish Tag 

Kevin Mccreesh Tuna and Sea Bass

Had Kevin Mccreesh and wife Cheryl out for some tuna, Kevin made a perfect cast to a nice 60lb, topped out the box with some nice 6lb sea bass 

John Kelly Stripers

Have John Kelly and the boys out for some striper spooning this morning. They picked it up quick and are smacking them at a steady clip, up to 60 fish all on spoons with little Noah getting in on the action.

Thanksgiving Day Stripers

Happy Thanksgiving all! Today had Glen Kaufman and kids with Danny Ballaster, Maury and son Isiah. Spooned our limit of fish early and caught and released for a while until it slowed up. Got back to the dock early to get the crew home to cook some Stripers for Thanksgiving! Thanks, Capt Greg 

Keith Friedman and Son Striper Crush

Just when I thought it couldn't get better?! Have Keith Friedman and his son, started the trip plugging a dozen fish with Parker having the hot hand. Then Keith wanted to spoon his first stripers, spooning another couple dozen. Still out with over 40 fish and only been out for an hour.

ATAC Striper Beatdown

Have Heller and Francisco from ATAC out today and the boys are getting a serious workout. Francisco has never caught a fish in his life and has over a dozen stripers already to his credit. Insane feed going on! Today could easily be a 100 fish day!

Afternoon Striper trip Capt Greg’s family

This afternoon I took out my dad and friend Jim Steel and my fiancé Dani for a quick trip. Found a bunch of fish blowing bunker out of the water and caught on poppers and spoons. World class fishing right in our backyard. - Capt Greg 

Yung Fei Stripers and Tog

Had Yung Fei and the boys out today, all the fish caught on shads, flutter spoons and sp minnows. Over 40 in first hour. Congrats to Tao catching his first striper ever. Ended the day with a few keeper blackfish on a rockpile

Jeff Speruto Stripers

Have the Jeff Speruto crew out. Just when I thought the bite couldn't get better, have over 30 fish on the first drift and bite is still going! Unreal fishing!

Striper Fun Trip

Had my Bro and Austen out, for a quick crew trip. Insane bite on spoons and bunker had over a dozen fish up to 38 inches in 2 drifts!

Bill Horning Insane Striper Action

Insane top water feed this morning with the Bill Horning crew. Mike popping his Striper cherry and getting 10 on light tackle. We have over 30 with no let up in sight getting them on top water and shads.

Don Beshada Stripers and Albies

Had Don Beshada out today. Took the big girl out and went oceanside. Started out Seabassing got a bunch but not the size we wanted. Did some light tackle albies with Don getting his first that way. Ended the day livelining with Don getting his personal best at 45 inches.

Jim and John Striper Bite

Capt. Greg had Jim and John out today. Started the day in the dark trolling and got our fill then went looking for jig fish which we didn't find. Moved away from the building fleet and found a few bunker pods getting worked and released 11 more fish on live bunker. Every bunker that went down got eaten...incredible fishery we have here and excited to see what the rest of the season holds. Biggest fish today went 45" and tagged a bunch for @grayfishtag 

Dan Kelly Stripers

Had Dan Kelly and the boys out for the first time with the Toy. Started out the trip with Braden popping his striper cherry. After that it was a slow death pick until the fish turned on and it was game on. After getting the crew limit, the birds came up and we finished  the day getting them on poppers. Thanks Steve for the heads up!

Tattoo Dan Stripers

Great fishing this morning with Tattoo Dan and the boys, been in release mode for past hour, only been fishing for 2 hours. Fish up to 45 inches on flutter spoons and spooks.

Overnight Canyon Grand Slam

Today had the end of the offshore season crew which are my diehard regulars. Gary, Russ and Tattoo Dan. Made a last minute decision to fish the small weather window. Boy did it payoff, got a Canyon Grand Slam- Tuna, Sword, Mahi, and Tile. Besides countless shark releases and some lost mystery fish!  Great time with a great crew!

Don Beshada Stripers

Good morning of fishing with Don Beshada and cousin Jerry,  Don's birthday today so had to have a good one. Netted our bait and went searching found some fish that wanted to chew, now in release mode.

Sam Angelo Stripers

Had Sam Angelo with daughter Gabby, Sean, Mike and Vince. Made our bait and got on the grounds had tough conditions but got our limit.

Maryanne Rurka Birthday Stripers

Had the Rurka family out this afternoon for Maryanne's birthday. Got the bait and found some fish ready to chew. Great time with the family today!

Sam Angelo Stripers

Had Sam Angelo and the boys out today. Made bait and went on the search, very slow going most of the day. Finally found a pile of fish that wanted to chew. They guys went to work limiting out and Mike popped his striper cherry 

Don Beshada Stripers

Back from vacation with batteries recharged. Had Don Beshada out to get his personal best striper and first spooned fish which we accomplished both on first drift. Guys get out while you can the bite is on! 

Kenji Minikata Stripers

Had Kenji Minikata out today, gave him a choice based off of the New moon. Told him tuna had been slow, but could use Stripers as a back up, he agreed. Made bait and tried for 4 hours on the tuna, no bites ran to the striper grounds and had fun with the stripers, good to get on them for the first trip of the fall.

Don Beshada Inshore Bluefin

Had Don Beshada out today, his goal was to go stand up with big inshore bluefin. Well as we do on the Toy we rigged up and executed the plan. 71 incher, stand up all by himself in 20 minutes. Great job by Capt Matty and Tyler, team work makes the dream work!

Nick and Friends Mahi

Had Nick and friends out for a midshore trip and ended with 20 mahi. Nice day!

70” Bluefin for TJ

Had TJ Miller for morning express run on my 31FA, 5 minutes into the drift TJ went to work, 20 minutes later on stand up had 70 incher in the boat, congrats TJ, stud job on the rod!

Big Bluefin in Sporty Seas

Went out on my mate Arions boat to the north, first drift had a 55 incher  which we released, kept fishing in sporty seas  and got a 72 in to finish the morning. On the way to breakfast and mimosas!
