Chris Ashton Bluefin

Had Chris Ashton and crew out today. Plan was to hit the yellowfin grounds, mother nature had other plans. Called an audible and ran to bluefin grounds. Grinded  it out and finally got our # called, boys did work on a nice 54 incher. Hit a wreck to get our  seabass  limit to end the day.

Dan Laible Tuna

Capt Matty and Chris had Dan Laible and family out today. Went into search mode and found the life no but no takers. Went to where some were being caught and chatter bars got them a nice yellow. After that was a tough day, ended the day with some light tackle mahi.

Mark Beverly Tuna and Mahi

Had Mark Beverly and the boys out yesteday, started out on bluefin grounds, way too crowded, decided to look offshore. Got into a decent bite of decent sized yellows, thanks Max.  Changed gears once bite slowed and went mahi fishing landed 30 in short order. Ended the day back on the bluefin grounds no luv.

Mike SDA Bluefin

Had Mike owner of SDA with the boys today. Plan was to field test the new board shorts for launch. The shorts were doused with squid ink and tuna blood and with a simple saltwater wash down they came clean. Nice plus to the trip was a nice 50 inch bluefin and bucket of fresh calamari!

Leon Martin Tuna and Mahi

Had Leon Martin out for a mid shore trip, didnt know what to expect with recent reports and  weather. Made the run, got 2 yellows early on, then died completely. Went on the mahi hunt lots of action, landed 40, could have caught 100's. Went back on the hunt for tuna but they didnt want to cooperate.

Jimmy Johnson Tournament

Well just got back from Jimmy Johnson Tournament tough week for us. Our shark bitten tuna sums up the week, we were in spots that held the winning fish but couldnt get them to come into our spread. Did finish 5 overall in mahi category. Congrats to all of the winners! Big shout out to the team that made this week so much fun! Tony, Jordon, Dan, Matty, Chris, Jamar and Willy.

Offshore Trip

Had Ed/Ryan Azar with buddy Bob and son Hunter, with son in law John and buddy Crazy Harry.  Got to grounds at day break fir the morning jig bite, our bell was never rung. Picked up later in morning and went searching to various spots, no life. Hit a few wrecks to grab quick limit of nice seabass then went back to original spot, livelined some chub mackerel and got our shot, pulled the hook after a few minutes, ugh🤬. Landed some 6 foot sharks for Hunter to end the day
