Had Nick and friends out for a midshore trip and ended with 20 mahi. Nice day!

70” Bluefin for TJ

Had TJ Miller for morning express run on my 31FA, 5 minutes into the drift TJ went to work, 20 minutes later on stand up had 70 incher in the boat, congrats TJ, stud job on the rod!

Big Bluefin in Sporty Seas

Went out on my mate Arions boat to the north, first drift had a 55 incher  which we released, kept fishing in sporty seas  and got a 72 in to finish the morning. On the way to breakfast and mimosas! 

Don Beshada Tuna Mahi

Had Don Beshada back again with a bunch of his wrestling/business buddies Heller, Nick, Reese and Dave. Some of them had ever experienced offshore fishing let alone landed a fish but today we gave them the full Monty. Don got us started popping a tuna on the first cast. Lost him and didn't see any more dolphin pods. So decided to get the boys warmed up on some mahi landing a dozen of them. Went back on the tuna hunt and found the dolphin, Reese and Dave did a great job popping their striper cherries, end of the day Don hooked another tuna on the popper, good time with the guys.

Tom Kelly and Family Mahi Madness

Captain Greg and Captain Kenny had the Tom Kelly family out from Saratoga, NY for a mahi trip on the 31. Took a long ride and it paid off with the biggest Mahi going about 15lbs.  We caught 35 and even tagged some for Gray fish tag research

Kevin Paulo Mahi

Captain Jamar and Arion  had Kevin Paulo and friend travel from New Hampshire to experience some New Jersey midshore action on the 31FA. Started the day on the hunt for the Tuna but the bite never happened. The guys had some fun with the Falsies until the decision was made to put some meat in the box. Ran to an area with pots holding the Mahi and went to work. Saw way more than actually wanted to bite, but boy did we get some nice ones. Put about 20 in the box and agreed that we would go back on the hunt for Tuna or Wahoo. Unfortunately, no takers, but plenty more action with the Falsies. Bill Harcourt Tuna Tiles Mahi

Had the Bill Harcourt crew out of MikeX2, Pat, Sean and Brian. Started out midshore with a couple of dozen mahi to get the guys warmed up. Worked some dolphin pods but no luck. Decided to make the run with calm conditions, got to the canyon and landed our first longfin of the season. Guys wanted some tilefish to add to the catch landing a dozen of them adding over 40 mahi to the haul.
