Sydney Ruiz Stripers

Had a good afternoon with Sidney Ruiz and the boys. Started off with Chris getting a nice 43 incher. Had a nice pick of fish through out the day. Ended with a nice Liveline bite to end the day. Good job boys.

Lenny Paolillio Stripers

Had a good morning with Lenny Paolillio his brother Anthony and all the kids. Started on some reads and all the kids landed a keeper with Anthony releasing a nice 40 inch over. Made a move and netted some bunker and landed some more keepers and overs, great morning with the crew.

Bahamas Day 2

Day 2 in Paradise. Started off with a bang getting 2 nice wahoo. Got on the reef for a drift and got muttons, strawberry groupers, cudas until the sharks showed up and they were hungry. In the afternoon we put away the fishing gear and got out the snorkel gear and look for lobster, and that worked out well and we had ourselves set up for a great dinner. Blackened wahoo, Grilled lobster tails in garlic butter, conch fritters with mac cheese and peas and rice.

Ed Beers Stripers

In the afternoon Capt Greg had first timer Ed Beers and friends out. Went back to our morning area and caught some large overs and came back closer to home boxing four keepers. Carmine Jr. was high hook with six dropping a few others.

Dan Kelly Stripers

Capt Greg and Shane had a double today. Left in the dark this morning and were first on the fish breaking under birds with 3-4 on right off the bat. Fish were under the birds swirling for miles. Action slowed once every boat in NJ showed up but still picked away. Biggest fish went approx 40"

Bahamas Trip

Andreas Toy Winter Season has officially started. Boat was hauled down to Loggerhead Marina Riviera Beach, who are hosting us for this month to make our Bahama runs. Awesome team down here!

Dr. Gerry Tuna Mahi Tiles

Had Dr Gerry and the boys back today. Slow morning on the tuna grounds so shifted to mahi getting close to 40 gaffers, then dropped for tile getting 30. Went back on the tuna hunt and they were ready to chew, went 3-7 on the UVT jigs.

Jim Vanator Tuna

Had Jim Vanator and the Alaska boys out today. Had his nephews Steve and Mike and newcomer Travis. Made the long slow ride out to the grounds. Got there and the massacre bite was over. On our first drift we were able to get a bite in first 5 minutes and pop Travis tuna cherry. Rest of the evening/night sucked going 1-7, ugh?!!!  Fortunately next morning we were able to land a few more tuna before heading home.

Mario Florentini Mahi Bluefin

Had first timer Mario Fiorentini out today with sons and uncle Bernie. Started out on pots and the bigger ones had lockjaw, but the peanuts were ready to eat. Decided to chum hard with live peanuts and found the life I needed getting the schoolie bluefin in a frenzy releasing fish up to 50 inches.

Tom Mallon Tuna Mahi

Had Tom Mallon and son out with guest appearance with Jay from Sushi by Sea. Started out am trolling for bigeyes, unfortunately our ticket wasn't punched. So we packed  the box with light tackle mahis. Changed gears and went on the hunt for yellowfin, found them but they wouldn't bite the jig after crew fishing hard for a few hours. Put in the purple tracker mini bullet and had an instant bite.

Joe Mihalyi Canyon

Had first timer to offshore Joe Mihalyi and the boys for a mixed bag trip. Boy was it ever! Started the trip jigging yellows on the UVT jigs, then we ran to canyon to load up on mahi and tiles eating the UVT jigs. Came back to the scene of the crime for a great top water bite on the UVT poppers!

Rich Walsh Tuna Mahi

Had Rich Walsh and the boys out today. Started out on a crazy bonito bite, things then slowed, got a bluefin on UVT jig to pop Garrets cherry. Went looking around and found Log loaded with mahi, nailed a bunch of them. Finally found some great life with Rays and chicks and the boys went to work with the UVT jigs. William got in the action popping his cherry!

Mike Inzetta Tuna Tiles

Had regular Mike Inzetta and the boys back. Got to the tuna grounds and found the life but no action. Chased the porpoise for a while still no luv. Found a log and able to  pull some mahi off of it. Decided to hit canyon for some good tilefishing for both blues and goldens. Went back on the hunt and able to load up on bonito and pop Keith's tuna cherry.

Nathan Birthday Stripers/Fluke

Had Nathan out for his birthday trip. Started with stripers but decided to call an audible mid morning given the conditions after catching one. Went fluking and had some solid action boxing some keepers with the biggest going 24". Beautiful weather and a nice crew!

Andy & Jeremy tuna

Had regulars Andy and Jeremy back today. Ran offshore and found the life, took a while to connect, but when we did it was solid fishing for hours. Chatter purple mini and purple squids got all the bites on the troll with mix of yellowfin and bluefin.

Later in day marked them deep while mahi fishing a log, and had a nice BFT to 44 inches on a UVT jig!

Vince Concina Tuna

Fun intro to the offshore scene for my new Andreas Toy Captains Vince Fernandini and Tyler Davis putting our new offshore customer Vince Concina on his first tuna 72 inch bluefin. 

The guys then decided to go offshore and put yellowfin in the box, ended the day with some nice gaffer mahi!

Shio Family Summer Stripers

Capt Greg and Lucas had Henry Shio with his son and grandson out for summertime stripers. Netting bunker was easy and the fishing was good as well. We got our limit fairly easily and had many other releases- steady pick throughout the day. First time striper live bait fishing and they picked it up with ease. A great day with three generations of the Shio family and friend Gabe.

Open Boat Summer Stripers

Capt Greg and Shane had a summer stripper open boat trip. Slow start only catching a couple and we landed on them and went to work releasing a lot and boxing our limit. The highlight was the last fish of the day- a 47" tank caught by Baqir.

Larry Canyon Tuna

Had Larry and Scott back out with there sons for some offshore fishing, first time tunafishing for most of them. As soon as we got to the grounds had instant action, all the boys got to bend the rod on the smaller bluefins till the yellowfins showed up. Ended the morning with 3 yellows and 2 blues. Decided to give them the full offshore experience. Ran to canyon, tilefishing conditions horrible only getting small blueline, pots were barren from mahi, so made decision to head back to tuna grounds, got some yellows and bluefin to end the day on a high note.

Family Bluefin Trip

Had the family out yesterday for a few hours of fishing, The boats name sake Andrea herself reeled in the first tuna. Everyone got a chance to reel in some tuna, great family day!

Open Boat Canyon

Great day with the regulars today, started on the yellowfin grounds, had half a dozen  to start the day on the new Chatter Purple Mini Bullets, knew they would kill it! Had a few opportunities casting but couldn't connect. Did some mahi and tiles getting only 1 nice mahi. On the way home ran into a slick with tons of chicks and again the Purple Bullet crushed the yellows and under limit of Bluefin to fish of 42 inches.

Had a morning session on my old 44FA with a bunch of friends. Ran out to the canyons not much happening, ran back inshore where we saw the life and had a pick up yellowfin and bluefin. Did see hundreds of tuna on surface but wouldn't eat anything. Back at dock early today after a fun day with the guys.

Vinny T Stripers

Capt Greg and Shane had Vinny T and the boys out for stripers. Got on them right after getting our bunker but that fizzled and we bounced around for while with a lull in the action waiting for conditions to align. Got on a good bite to end the day and put in a little overtime to get the guys five keepers to take home.

Bluefin and Tilefish Canyon

Had the regulars out for a mixd bag canyon trip. Started out in some  nice feeds,  no luv. Made the run to the edge, got our tuna limit and released a bunch on Purple Chatter lures. Changed up gears and got our limit of blueline and goldens on UVT jigs. On way home got into great surface feeds with Bluefin crushing the UVT stick-baits and surface poppers.

Charlie Bush Stripers

Had Charlie Bush with 9 people out for stripers so did a joint trip with dock neighbor Morning Dew. Yvette led the charge with a 40" fish right off the bat and then we managed to a few keepers in the box. Great way to beat the heat was being on the water!
