Had Gerald out with his son his girlfriend and buddy Ed.
Made bait early and went on the hunt for stripers, after a few
Hours of drifting and dreaming we went sea bassing, it was
Lock and load getting our Limit quickly and getting some fluke
As well.

Mixed bag fishing with Gary Indyk
Had Gary back with family members Bridgett, Chris, Kelly and Damon.
Plan was to head outside but rough conditions kept us in the river.
Plan B netted some live bait and started with some stripers, then went fluking
And had 7 keepers to 22 inches.

Bluefin Midshore Trip with Derrick and Family
Had Derrick out for the first time with his son Chris, Brother Adam, and
Father in law Andy. Plan was to head offshore for Bluefin, but Mother Nature
Altered those plans. 30 miles out the wind came on early and gusted to 20,
Looked around and found some life and set up on it, tried sharking for an hour
No bites so we went on the troll, just small bluefish, didn't like the water so we took a run to the south and water looked great but no life. Hit a wreck and loaded up on pollack, ling, fluke and seabass waiting for the wind to settle. Subsided a bit and made a major run to the east, found a scallop boat and went to work, landed 3 quick Bluefin and headed to the barn.

Kept trolling around the bunker pods but nothing. Decided to drift a wreck and landed over 2 dozen seabass to 4lbs and fluke. Went back to livelining but no more Stripers for us. Glad to see all the guys back!

Elks Tournament
Had team "Blind Squirrel" (Dave,Henry,Glenn,Brian,Larry and George) Made our way out the inlet in the mix of the "Shot-gun" start...Pulled away from the pack and headed to the north, had a good pick of solid fish. As the wind and drift picked up we headed back south to pick away before weigh in... Our biggest of 12 keepers went 7.2 for a 7th place finish (out of 184 or so boats)... It was a great day lots of laughs and a few "nuts" found... A awesome bunch of fisherman. Met "Shrimp man Steve" thank you for the inlet photo and congrats on a great catch... Capt. Eddie

Bottom Fishing Trip with the Farkas Family Charter
Had Bob Senior, Junior, brother Glen, and daughters Daisha and Jennifer. The crew had won a 4 hour trip through a raffle to raise money for Breast Cancer through Clarks Landing. Loaded the crew and went to the first wreck, divers were there which made us have to switch gears, next wreck had a lot of life, was getting a steady pick going of seabass and lots of ling with Jennifer getting a doubleheader when a storm started heading our way. Made the decision to head inshore and fish the river for fluke, that was a bust. Had a great time with a fun family!

Pat Noonan Charter Fluke/Sea Bass
Had Pat Noonan and his bunch out for their annual trip on Sunday for fluke and sea bass. Started the morning up to the north with little wind and no drift. The kids had fun picking away at short fluke for a while. Decided to shift gears and do some sea bassin for the rest of the morning. Had lots of action with the kids putting 20 keepers in the boat by the end of the day!

John Sheedy Bottom Fishing Charter
Had John on board with his son John, and Dad, three generations of Sheedy's always the best days. Brought along "Blackfish Bobby", and son "The Puller" Andrew with buddy Anthony "Red Gatorade" Schinella. Worked over a dozen wrecks with minimal results, a dozen keeper seabass, lots of shorts, ling, tog and short fluke, wish I had better catch report, but not in the cards for a great crew. Totally frustrated, but the kids made it fun today, Anthony S, was one of my star forwards during the winter-spring basketball season so it brought back some good memories!

Annual Peterson Charter: Sea Bass
Report from customer John Peterson:
Had our annual Charter today with Capt Max taking us out to look for sea bass.
We started with a few drops on the Axel Carson, caught a ling. Went to the mud hole hit 12 wrecks. Hit the sea girt and shark river reefs and tried many drops. Capt Max hit at least 25 spots trying to find the Sea Bass. Greg wore his arms out grappling and re-grappling. The only things that bit well were the flys and the yellow eels. We had 25 - 30 of the eels amd a continuous swarm of flies.
Finished the day with 30+ ling, mostly extra large, 2 cod and 3 sea bass. Caught at least another 15 short cod, a couple of small blackfish a short fluke and 5 of the biggest flounder I have ever seen.
We saw turtles, rays, a whale and a sun fish
Capt Fred did the best to get us a good trip, we rescheduled 3 times because either the fish had not started biting early in the season and conditions sucked on the other. We had hot but otherwise great conditions today and Capt Max and Mate Greg gave it their all as we burned a lot of gas and covered a lot of ground but the sea bass decided not to play. We still had full bags of filets to take home and had a great time fishing with good people.
The Andreas Toy is a professional operation from start to end and communicates well with the charter trying to get them the best day possible and we appreciated everything they did to give us a great trip
Side note the Coast Guard was in the inlet stopping boats, they boarded us, checked all the gear and gave the boat a passing grade. Only asked about fluke, looked in the fish box, said nice fish and continued their inspection

Split Trip Zullo-Nitske Sea Bass/ River Fluke
Yesterday we had a split trip starting off with Jim Zullo, wife Tonya and sons Jonathan and Lyle. The kids wanted some action so we decided to go out and do a little sea bassing. Hit a few spots about 5 miles from the inlet where the kids had non-stop action and we were able to get a dozen keepers in about two hours of fishing. After a little while one of the little guys wasnt feeling well so we finished up the trip with a little river fluking. After dropping off the Zullo family, we headed back out with Frank Nitske, wife Jo, sons Brandon and Justin, and daughter Ashley. They also wanted to head out and try for some sea bass as well. We started where we left off an hour earlier and the kids had steady action with drop and reel sea bass. They were able to box 27 keepers along with a nice cod in just under 3 hours of fishing!!! All the kids had a blast today catching plenty of fish each!

Adam Szewczyk River Fluke & Sea Bass Trip
Had Adam and crew out yesterday and with the updated forecast we made the decision to start the day off in the river with a little fluking, in hopes that the wind might lay down a bit for us to hit a few snags close by as the morning went on. The guys had great action in the river catching tons of short fluke for a few hours to stat off the day. Around 9:30 ish we decided to take a look out front and decided to hit a snag a few miles from the inlet. It was a bit bumpy and made it tough anchoring conditions but the guys managed some nice keepers. We decided to head in prior to the strong outgoing tide and finish the day in the river where the guys had more constant action with short fluke.
