Ray Family Striper and Sturgeon bycatch

Capt Greg and Richard had the Ray family out for a day of stripers. On our first cast net throw we were surprised to see a very large sturgeon caught by the fin on the outside of the net. It was released quickly and kept in the water- a fish I have been hoping to see up close and personal at some point in my life. See video for the clean release!

Made our bait and proceeded to have a solid pick of stripers for the first time live liners with a couple of bluefish in the mix. Beautiful weather, a pleasant surprise while cast netting, and great fishing made for an enjoyable day. Thanks guys!

Will White Thresher and Mako Shark on 31’

On Sunday Capts Greg and Kenny had a shark charter with Will White and friends. Our first bite was the right one with a thresher eating our bait and making a big jump out of the water. Unfortunately it landed on our mainline more than 50 ft from the hook and parted us off. Shortly after we hooked a mako shark and got it boatside- around 65" which we took a few pics of and then released. We ran back into the bay and put some stripers in the box so the guys could take home some dinner. Also checked on a capsized sailboat on our way home, everyone was accounted for.

Still some time to get in on a shark charter! These trips are $1,800 plus tip for the mate. Call/text Capt Greg 201-421-8653

Chatter Lures Offshore Trip

Had Justin of Chatter lures out, plan was to run his brand new bars the Wing Man and jig tiles with his jigs. Got to the canyon and put his new Bars on with the micro bait splash bar. First fish was a small bluefin, then we found the nicer yellowfin, got His buddies Sean, Aaron and  his son their first tunas, landed a few more. Switched gears and decided to jig tilefish using the chatter  jigs, popped all of the guys cherries landing a dozen up to 20lbs.

Saturday Double Dave H and then Kyle Miller

Gray fish tag recovery!!!!

On the 31 Capts Greg and Kenny had a double with Dave Hockenber and crew out today in the morning. Picked the stripers on live bait and put a catch together.

The afternoon was action packed with Kyle Miller and crew catching fish hot and heavy. We caught a fish that was tagged with a Gray fish tag which we believe we actually were the original taggers- will follow up when we hear more. A few first timers to live lining and they did great and we even streamed the Man City game on the water. A great trip!

Mike LaBella Stripers

Had Mike LaBella out today for stripers in the bay. Two throws of the net and we were on our way fishing. Did some exploring and ended up finding some stripers and the guys did well! First time live liners were patient and ended up doing well with a couple bluefish mixed in. Thanks guys!

Alan Kulesza Stripers and Blues

Capt Greg and Jimmy had Alan Kulesza and the boys from PA out today. One throw was all we needed to load the wells and off we went. Had consistent action all day and the guys weeded through the big blues to get the stripers and release a bunch more. Kept some blues for the smoker to make some fish dip

39 Open Boat yellowfin

Capt Matty got our canyon season started on the right foot, and broke in our new 39ST in fine fashion, while putting out the Chatter tracker bar the first fish hit, he proceeded to have a steady pick the rest of the morning going 7-10 on yellows, great job Capt Matty/Chris and to the bunch of regulars who fought the fish , Gary, Russ, Jeremy, Anthony and Kal. Way to go guys.
